Sony just revealed MLB The Show 25, set to debut on March 18 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In other words, if you’re still clinging to your old PS4 or Xbox One, this is where the ride ends—no last-gen version is planned. For the first time since MLB The Show 21, the series also skips an immediate release on Xbox Game Pass (at least at launch). However, if waiting until March 18 feels like an eternity, the Digital Deluxe Edition grants you access on March 14—because apparently four days make a world of difference.

Gracing the cover this year are three rising stars: Paul Skenes (Pittsburgh Pirates), Elly De La Cruz (Cincinnati Reds), and Gunnar Henderson (Baltimore Orioles). A new gameplay trailer shows off the usual slick visuals, and there’s even a separate trailer specifically for the Nintendo Switch version—perfect for anyone who wants to pitch a no-hitter while riding the train.
In short, if you’re ready to upgrade (or already have), MLB The Show 25 will be waiting with next-gen polish, a trio of young cover athletes, and absolutely no pity for last-gen console owners. Play ball—just maybe not on your PS4.
